The following is a list, in more or less chronological order, of the books that I have found to be instrumental on my path.

Some of them are talked about in my own book, others are not.

Eckhart’s my boy. It was the first book by an enlightened person that didn't piss me off. I read it 6 times back to back.

THE GNOSTIC GOSPELS ~ Elaine Pagels.

BEYOND BELIEF – The Secret Gospel of Thomas ~ Elaine Pagels.

I found these 2 books to be shocking, fascinating, and highly instrumental in my still evolving understanding of Christ and Christianity.

EASTERN BODY/WESTERN MIND ~ Anodea Judith.

This text formed the basis of the remarkable and highly experimental ‘beta’ version of Yoga Therapy in which I participated. The Yoga Therapy is mentioned in my book, but this text was not.

HANDS OF LIGHT ~ Barbara Ann Brennan

HANDS OF LIGHT showed up immediately after the Dinnertable Awakening in 2005. When I was handed the book, it was the first time I experienced spiritual communication via a sort of electrical impulse delivered directly into my fingertips – in this case it was letting me know that this was the right book at the right time. Later, these electro-buzz moments would become very familiar, showing up to validate all sorts of experiences.

AWAKENING TO ZERO POINT ~ Gregg Braden

Like having all my teeth pulled out while sitting through a midterm exam in advanced physics. In a good way.

THE ISAIAH EFFECT ~ Decoding the Lost Science of Prayer ~ Gregg Braden

THE GOD CODE ~ Gregg Braden

I found both these books very helpful at the time. THE ISAIAH EFFECT was part of a reading list specifically recommended by Spirit.

THE SPONTANEOUS FULFILLMENT OF DESIRE ~ Deepak Chopra

Another of Spirit’s recommended ‘homework’ books. Powerful for me in a number of unexpected ways, all of which are described in my book.

REALIZATION OF ONENESS ~ Joel S. Goldsmith

The gateway book that paved the way for everything that came after. Described in detail in my book.

THE DISAPPEARANCE OF THE UNIVERSE ~ Gary R. Renard

This book kicked my ass. Twice. I talk about it at length in my book, but still barely scratch the surface.

YOUR IMMORTAL REALITY ~ Gary R. Renard

Also amazing.

TAKE ME TO TRUTH - Undoing the Ego ~ Nouk Sanchez & Tomas Vieira

This incredibly helpful book lives permanently on my night stand, along with A Course in Miracles.

A COURSE IN MIRACLES

You know how, when someone asks which 3 things would you take with you to a desert island, your answer might be something like: Hmm, ok, I’d take a lifetime supply of Cherry Garcia; maybe that guy who plays Jason Stackhouse on True Blood; and a suitcase full of SPF 200 sunscreen?
